Finding The Perfect .22LR Barrel Length

Maybe a quick summary? What did you find interesting about the video? What is the perfect length?

In a 4 foot barrel velocity is still very high. It's worth 5 minutes of your time.
Years ago Nimrod Rifles came up with 13”, they used a 16” barrel and back bored the muzzle end 3” to make it a Bloop Tube.
They achieved maximum speed with 16" @1070fps then observed a steady speed decline to a little over @1050fps around 22" barrel length. From 28" to 40" it was basically flat until dropping off again at 44"
This is very long but has lots of good info. One thing that comes up is that while max velocity is at ~16”, the SD and ES actually reduces over the next few inches as the velocity starts to slowly fall.
