Spent a few weeks building and modifying this.

Specs
Wingspan 6ft
4x Eletric motors (painted the cowls...I really hated this part)
Flaps
Retracts w/ robart wheels
Made top turret spin
FPV camera going in the ball turret at some point
Front graphics behind the nose plastic is a picture from a B-17 getting rebuilt that I scaled and clue in place.

That looks great!

I love that night "takeoff" in the grass...just like they did in the forties. :)

Would love to see that (or anything else) fly in person. I guess you have pretty good room to fly where you live.
Have you ever flown anything down on Galilee Rd at the Aero club?
I see folks there from time to time.
Edit:
Was just watching your videos on YT.
Think I answered my own question!

Testing thrust at different throttle setting.

Pay attention to the blue high wing lol

Those motors are movin some air! Whats max rpm?
And the angle of the prop blades, that's pitch right? Are those props considered to have a lot or a little angle.
And what does it weigh?
Thanks for sharing.

I called/email and really never got a answer from those guys. I've been told alot of them do 3D flying, which is cool just not my taste.

Room...yes once you get above the small trees we have. With warbirds, they need power to control descent rate so I land like the Corsair did on carriers.

I live right by the Joco flying club though.

If you post when you are going to fly it, and I am free, I will try to make it out there from Cary/Garner. That would be cool to see.

This is an awesome thread to follow. I really like those rc warbirds. P51 is my favorite. Hope to eventually get into the hobby.

I've been flying at the Piedmont Rc field in Wade (just north of Fayatteville). Don't know if I'll do the maiden there or in Elm city.

That thing is SICK

Thank you!

Prop warbirds are fun. These are all shot with Iphone. Need to get a better camera if I'm going to record my self/friends.

Here's the same P-51 flying. I needs more power.

But what about jets, power by a eletric fan?

This is not for the average person as far as cost. This A10 is awesome.

The A-10 is what got me back in to flying. but before I spend the $$ on the one I want need to knock alot of the cobwebs off. Was running some parts for a customer and had Youtube playing in the background. Heard a turbine engine and saw it. Was like "awesome!" then saw it was RC and that turned in to "I need that".

I got distracted the other days looking at them because of this thread. One RC jet turbine weighed a few ounces (8 I think), and produced about 7 lb of thrust at 235k RPM (!!) and cost over $2000.

Like this? :)

That sure takes airsoft to a whole new level. That was awesome. I think I saw a video where someone attached an automatic nerf gun to one that shoots out little nerf balls. Or it could have been ping pong balls. Idk.

Cool toy! Hopefully dude never slips up and crashes if. Could only imagine the cost to repair. Haha.
