Decided to take the plunge and build my first AR15. I went with a PSA complete upper and Anderson lower. This was to be a budget build for sure. Went with a 1:7 Midlength MOE system from PSA in the nitride finish and came with a rear MBUS as well as their lower MOE parts kit. Nothing fancy about the build or parts, but it was definitely addictive, I'll be building more in the future for sure.

Got the Anderson lower on sale for $40 shipped from Primary Arms a couple weeks ago on sale. After all said and done, I've got right at $465 in the rifle including all FFL transfers and shipping costs, I"m pretty pleased with the outcome. Haven't put any rounds down range yet, that'll change this weekend. Without further adieu.... before and after.

Awesome job! I did almost the exact same thing for my first. Anderson Lower and PSA kit.

Nice first build. Let us know how it performs.

I refer to those as Psandy builds, and yes my wallet is fond of them. The 1 in 8 stainless middy is what Im currently rocking

Looks great!

I won't buy another AR after building my 6.8 and others.
I really prefer to buy the pieces and put it all together.
Maybe it's the engineer in me or maybe I just enjoy it. :)

Took her out to TSA this morning when they opened at 9:00. Place was packed by 9:15, but got on a lane without issue or wait time. I mounted an Eotech 512 on the rifle, right out of the box first 3 rounds were on paper at 25 yards, and only hitting 2" low and 1" right, not too bad. Got it dialed in to my liking fairly quickly and ran some more rounds through just to get it broken in a bit, maybe 120 total. Awesome feeling, putting rounds down range in something I put together, puts a grin on your face.

Pictured: 5 round group from rest at 25 yards.
