I have to go pick up a truck in Hidalgo Texas. Oldest wanted to tag along but has never flown. He’s having a small internal crisis now. Flight boards in an hour.

He did fine but American Airlines screwed me. We flew into Dallas and sat on a tarmac for 45 minutes causing us to miss the last leg of our trip. So now instead of sleeping in a bit then going to get the truck I’ve got to wake up early fly the last leg then start my drive back. I was hoping to make it out of Texas tomorrow but now I’ll be lucky to get past Huston.

That is a great first experience for him. The earlier he learns that the airlines screw you if you don't get a direct flight, the better.

Next time show him the cattle call boarding at Southwest!
