Been awhile since we’ve had any turkeys show up in our yard. This looks to be a young lone female but I’m guessing there’s more nearby.

She flew up into our trees a few minutes ago because she got spooked by a couple of woodchucks fighting nearby.

They (turkeys) are all over the Cataloochee area. See them roadside quite often when we’re hiking over that way.

I have seen too many.
1. First, 6 Jakes decided to walk across Sam Furr road before it is 4 lane early in March. One jumped on the hood of my truck to get above stopped, bumper-to-bumper traffic to cross the road.

2. Later that weekend, 1 Tom, 2 Females and a Jake were in my back yard!!!!!

Oh, it wasn't going to be Sping Gobbler Season this year, it was going to be Spring Gobbler War!!!! Then work, as frickin usualy, slaps my personal plans back and says More Work for You!

They messing with me...

Mom gets deer and turkey in her backyard all the time, but guess who's not allowed to hunt there?

I hit one last week on Newfound Rd. Watched him coming but was going too fast to stop and there was no other place to go.
