A high school classmate of one of my brothers went to the Naval Academy. He was 6'5 entering his freshman year. Grew to 7' tall in the academy. Another fraction of an inch and they would have botted him. 7' is the max allowed height in the Navy.Bitter pill to swallow.
I know a guy (not a friend, just an acquaintance) who went to USNA at Annapolis, during the summer between his junior and senior year was injured in a training accident during his midshipman 'cruise,' they allowed him to finish but not commission. That has to be tough.
