Recently picked up a G43. Love the pistol…great size…shoots good.

But…may have to do some trigger work. Right at 7.5 pounds (measured it 5 times). Gonna shoot the hell out of it for a bit before I do any work, though.

Google Glock Triggers....Get The Edge....I just ordered another on yesterday...It'll be 3 pounds and CRISP.
Sadly, I don’t think they make The Edge for the slim Glocks because I looked into it awhile back. I’d love to know if I am wrong.

Odd. My old one was about 5 pounds and my newer one is about 5.5. Like you said, shoot it a bunch and see if it just needs to wear a bit.

.....was hoping this thread was about a real G43, lol. Gewehr 43. :)

I bought a Gen 4 G19 new a couple of years ago that came from the factory at about 7lbs. Terrible. A different connector and much massaging of internals got it down to 5 and it ended up being a great shooter.

part of the problem with the "small frame" glocks is they use the same striker spring as the rest of the line up. the 42/43/43x/48 all have a shorter striker and there is more preload on the striker spring before you have even touched the trigger.

a reduced power striker spring (even 1/2lb down) will dramatically reduce pull weight and wont yield light strikes. reduced power safety plunger spring helps as well.

i use wolff but their lead times right now are pretty long. may be able to find both elsewhere. or, if you have another glock with a high rough count you can swap striker springs for a broken in spring.

as noted above, the overwatch triggers help.

i leave the factory "minus" (small frame) connectors alone.

ymmv

Got 650 through it. Stoned some of the internals and installed an Edge connector…I’m right at 4.5
