have a couple of relatives visiting Up from FL. Asked them to pick up a cae of Buffalo Trace based upon Chad’s experience. They would only sell them 2 bottlesk initially one until their daughter bought a bunch of stuff smd it became two. They said the online price was all over the map.

Edit: Wild Turkey Longbranch is much tbe same. Keep a bottle of that too for the mixing crowd.

Our ABC has it locally. Or did. It's sporadic in inventory, but certainly not rare. What kills me is how it's (and everything else) is priced so differently.

It drinks and tastes like a young whisky, not much body or depth of flavor. Its really sweet and nothing special to me, but, its certainly not terrible, either.
Ive got more full flavored stuff I like to sip on, so the Longbranch is relegated to the 'guests who want to mix' slot.

Yup. And since I live ten minutes from SC, those stores just across the border know about NC ABC too. Their prices mostly match local prices, within $2-5 depending on which particular bottle. They also jack up prices on the stuff they have thats not available here.
Its a ~45 minute drive to find a decent selection at decent prices. I go four or five times a year and get several bottles at a time lol
