Most likely. I'm bringing a trailer 2.5 hours to Lancaster SC tomorrow to bring back a 2007 FJR 1300A. My friend has a 1st gen I rode and loved it. This is a 2nd gen which has ABS and also a rear bag both of which I wanted very much.

The Corbin seat needs repair. My friend with the 1st gen has a new Corbin he got with his bike, I'm hoping it will fit on this one. 41K miles. The dealer appears to know where the PO got it serviced (or is talking crap), maybe I can get some info from them. I'm wondering if I should have the valve clearance checked right away.

Here’s a question. With the number of FJRs on the road, and their success as a sport tourer, how readily available are factory and aftermarket mods?

Just to fit a taller, larger, older rider?

They seem like a heck of a platform.

I need to try out one of these things some time to see what all the hype is about, good lookin scoot!

It’s probably just the way the pic was taken but that thing looks loooooong.

I mean, that one looks sexy as hell, right?

It's the first one I've seen with those srtipes on the fairing. All the one's I've seen had one color fairings.

I’m not normally a red guy but the silver and maroon is beautiful.
I may ride to one of the dealers tomorrow for a reality check, to see if they actually fit my large carcass.

I have the 2006 2nd Gen and love it.

Good looking bike man. I have the 06 and love it. As far as valves go, the book says 26000. On the FJR forums, a lot of guys have waited until 40+ thousand to do the first check, with nothing needed. A small few needed something at the first check, but very few. I wouldn't worry much about it right now. I would ride it this season and check over the winter if it was me.
Here's some links to read about it if you would like.

Picked her up yesterday. Bike was at a dealer and as some dealers do they weren't completely forthcoming with the condition of the bike in the posted pics. It had obviously been dropped on pavement on the left side and the only pic of that side in the ad was the one I show above in the opening post. Lots of paint chips in the lower half (and some in the top half) of the left panier, the edge of the mirror housing has a chunk missing (can see it in the extreme left of the pic) and even the round cover near the bottom of the engine stamped Yamaha is scratched up. Other than that it was good to go. Rides nice but I need a little time to get quick with smooth shifts. The throttle ramps up very quick combined with the shaft drive slop is something I'll need to get used to. Got them to knock $200 off the $3K price tag and now she's mine. 👍

Nice bike. Get you some Canyon Cages or T-Rex tipover bars. FJR's can sustain serious damage with a tipover. The saddlebags, fairings and mirrors are expensive to replace. Get some protection for them.

Yes that's what the mechanic said to my friend who bought the 1st gen with 40K. Mine has 50K so it's almost 2x past the recommended check interval.

👍 Just ordered frame sliders.

BTW my KLR is now in the BST if anyone is looking for a dual sport.

Hope you can sell it there instead of resorting to Facebook marketplace. The unwashed masses lurk there asking all sorts of dumb questions.
