Anyone have any experience with GG&G bipods, particularly the XDS-2C? Harris is too heavy/noisy and costs as much as an Atlas to make it function like it should, not paying $400+ for Atlas or similar. Basically trying to decide whether the build quality of the GGG and ability to lock the legs at 45 degrees for right around $200 makes it a better buy than a Magpul at half the price. Bipod will be going on an AR-10 with pic rail and likely live there full time.

Have a Magpul, had the GGG, buy the Magpul.

Curious as to what faults you found in the GGG. I'm reading that the Magpul has a ton of flex in it, and requires a lot of preload to control anything with some recoil to it. Any comments on that? Maybe more problematic on other platforms that would tend to have the legs extended further than an AR platform shooting prone/bench?

The ergonomics were off-putting in the extreme when shooting anywhere besides flat level ground, tilt & pan were nightmarish to attempt, and that made the cost of it a regrettable choice.

The Magpul has some flex to it, it's not extreme in my opinion. Unlike metal bipods, it has the elasticity to take a pretty extreme impact or bend without permanently deforming. I can't speak to the recoil issue because I don't have any platforms that feature heavy recoil currently.

Yikes! Guess I'll give the Magpul a shot. Worst case, it goes on my 16" AR in .223. I've got some Amazon gift cards so its free to me anyways. Thanks!

I'm actually really glad I opened this up because I was on the cusp of buying ggg
Same! It's a bit surprising since I think its a Bobro design, and they usually make good stuff.

My magpul bipods have been solid but the legs seem too long. Even fully retracted it can be annoying. Others have commented similarly. Really hope someday magpul releases shorter legs for it.

Regarding GG&G, I’ve never used their bipods but most everything else from them over the years has been solid.

I offer a full line of quality bipods, from standard Stud mount to Quick detach 1913 rail mounts.

These have pan movement for movers, and tilt for uneven terrain.
