In fairness, it’s probably better to compare it to 50BMG as both are heavy MG cartridges. A 1000gr bullet is still more than 50% heavier than most 50’s (650gr 3000fps), but a full spec and performance comparison would be cool.
 
Compensating for something I think.
 
Both the .50 BMG ( also known as the 12.7x99 Browning) and 14.5 x 114 were designed as anti-tank rounds. Guess which one was still effective against light tanks and armored vehicles for much of WWII?
