Got hold of a Girsan M 1911 SC...no box or paperwork...
How does one field strip ?
No barrel bushing so how is spring pressure relief done .... attempted to remove take down lever but have heard new ones might need gentle percussive persuasion but of course spring pressure puts alot of tension on it .
Any tips?
YouTube is useless...

See page 15.

Thanks for the link...I Had already downloaded it and should have mentioned...but the manual shows a barrel bushing that this particular gun does not have.
Took chance and disassemble under tension using the slide lock in small notch as normal 1911...
This particular 1911 style is similar to a striker fired as seen in pic..
Thanks again for replying 🍻PXL_20220412_160229163.jpg

With a bushingless system, there are two methods.

One, you have a guide rod that has a takedown hole, allowing you to insert a slave pin or Allen Key to capture the spring so you can disassemble without tension.

Two, you disassemble by holding the slide back under tension, popping the slide stop pin out, and easing the slide assembly over with your hand under the dust cover to keep the recoil spring under control.

The second method is handy even with bushing guns, because it allows you to remove the spring from the rear and rotate the bushing with the gun out of battery. If you have a hard fit barrel or a tight match bushing, that minimizes creating any slop through wear.

Step two works ! Thanks 🍻
