Interesting short blog by Selco. Basically, in a SHTF scenario, things that aren’t perfect may still be good enough, even if they are not suitable solutions under normal times. Something to think about. It also reminds me of the saying, “you only need to be 10% prepared to be 100% better off than the next guy”.

No matter what the prepping industry and preppersphere likes to say, you usually will never have a perfect plan, perfect settings, or perfect gear that will work everywhere and every time.

And no, you are not perfect, you are just human being.

It is not only connected to prepping and survival, this, you should be best, first, “perfect” or whatever is part of normal modern consumerism world.

The thing is that in survival, your “I am perfect”or “My preps should be perfect” may lead you to mistakes and eventually to bad things.

When the shtf alot of 100% plans will be immediately shot to hell depending on the exact reason for shtf. I think a big part of being prepared is to be able to shift gears and change game plan on fly. Prepare for as many situations as you can but be ready to shoot from the hip.
