Thank you, guys. I do enjoy good company, and this looks to be the place to get it.
I'm not the best shot, but I do love shooting. I'm a 1911 man and have been for 52 years, since my father let me shoot one of his at age 8. I've owned different types of pistols (and still own CZs and Berettas), but I've always come back to 1911s.
The one thing I do is post range pics, and my favorite targets are 9 inch paper plates with some kind of a dot on them. Any good groups shot are aberrations and just plain luck, but that does not keep me from posting a picture of them.
Like this arrow shot offhand at 50 yards with a SA LW Champion Operator. I won a pecan pie from my daughter when she lost her bet that I could not hit it. I didn't bother telling her that hitting something that big and vertical was an easy thing, much easier than hitting a real target at 50.
Or this one...
I won't say the distance on that, because I don't believe it either, luck or not.
