My son in law is looking for a taste of Texas.
Does anyone know of a good authentic Mexican or Texas beef BBQ restaurant in the Durham area?
Thanks!

La Fondita, its beside harbor freight.
I call it reload mexican...as in carry a reload. Delicious food though.
Might as well go to that Peruvian place Alpaca if in that hood.
I still day dream about that place!!
Wife and I went last Friday.
It was SLAM PACKED with gringos and brothers. I think the word is out.

There is an Alpaca in Cary too. My wife and I grab lunch there once in a whole. Chicken is decent, but we pretty much go to get the plantains.

The lamb shank at Torero's will make a fat boy twitch.Good Mexican in Durham? One awesome part about having a Latino-rich population. Most of them are good. For muy authentico I like Tacos Jr., a little food wagon. There are a couple roach coaches that are tons better than for-real restaurants. For sit-down, Tamale Factory, Mez, Guanajuato...also El Corral and Torero's (bigger).
