Graduate school...

Was it worth it? I’ve been thinking about getting mine.

Remains to be seen. I often had to put my family on the back burner, and I had at least one class for the last two summers, so on any vacations or trips I would take my laptop and books.

Once I get another job, I will believe it would have been worth it.

And now you're going to continue to have nightmares about showing up late for a test or final that you didn't study for, for the next 20 years. :D

Congratulations on a job well done! Best of luck finding rewarding work with your new qualifications.

I am already having mash-up dreams. My first degree, poli sci, is from ECU (1991). I have dreams now where I am in the poli sci classrooms, looking for my friends, trying to get to nursing classrooms for tests, and not understanding why they aren't in that building.

Congratulations Master Chuckman.

My recurring bad-dream scenario was "realizing" in mid-semester that I was signed up for a class about which I had completely forgotten.

PS let me know if you need any sartorial advice regarding the hood (if you are attending commencement): I walked past a fellow yesterday having some pictures taken by his wife but he had his hood (Master of Economics) essentially on backwards and inside out. Got him straightened out - literally.

Sadly, the timing of graduation is such that I could not make it (7 pm? Really???). I recall with both my BA and my BSN the graduations were mid-day.

So, instead of going to graduation, graduation is coming to me: burning meat on the grill, quality beer, friends and family, and my (lovably dorky) wife has "a surprise" to mark the event. She's probably going to make me walk across the deck with Pomp and Circumstance on in the background.

Sounds like the way to do it!

Congratulations!!!! A degree that Will pay off...in more ways than monetarily. Thankfully though, monetarily also.

I have those dreams 41 years later.
And I am usually naked.

Congratulations!

Well done. That takes discipline and sacrifice big time as an adult. Now go hug the kids and bang the wife. You’ve earned it.

Dude, congrats man, that's freaking awesome

It's good to know I was not the only one to have those dreams, which continued until I retired.

Now I have dreams that I forgot to tell people when I was going to retire!
