This wasn’t here yesterday. There’s no buzzards so it just happened and was picked clean

Hard to say how it died...could have been natural and then preyed upon, looks like adult doe...yotes can bring one down and do.

Missing parts, so was probably dragged/carried there...a large yote can move that around and they will normally eat from the ass forward.

Most likely yotes, but there is always a stray bear kill (not likely), black panther, normal panther, Beast of Bladenboro, Squatch, chupacabra, feral people, etc...

Any indications of knife cuts on the skin? Looks like someone cleaned a deer, threw out their waste, then the yotes picked it over.
Not that I can see. Where it’s at on our property someone would have to carry it pretty far to dump it. We are backed up to a highway so it could have been hit enough to make it through the little bit of woods from the highway and drop dead.

Unless you have wolves, coyotes

I was about 12 when my dog brought a deer leg home. Followed him next time he went out and found something like that.

We assumed someone field dressed their kill them packed out proceeds through our yard.

All your cameras point at the highway? At least once a week I check the cameras to figure out WTF happened at my place.

I'm no expert. But no legs at all, chewed up ribs. I'll go with coyotes, with aliens and sasquatch being close seconds.

For that kind of carnage you would have certainly heard the yotes nearby. Didja?

I can attest to two things. Coyotes will tear one apart and the competing animals will drag parts all over. And you won't necessarily hear anything. Had it happen without 100 yards of a trailer I lived in. Not a sound, or at least not enough to get my attention. And we heard coyote groups hunting and carrying on all the time in the area. It was weird.

Cameras point at the road out front. I have one that covers our barn but we’re talking 50 acres of coverage. This was in the very back of our property. Didn’t hear anything but if it happened at night it would be too far to hear because I sleep like a rock.

Thanks everyone!
