Grit Grips is a new G19 size player in the polymer grip game. I saw them first on YouTube and was instantly curious. I received my grip within 2 days. The designer is the same guy who designed the Dagger grip. It feels similar but better to me than the Dagger. The absence of the despised finger groove is the first positive. The grip texture also feels better to me. It’s more grippy than the Dagger but still feels good for carrying against bare skin. The back of the grip feels a bit wider, not as sharp as the Dagger. The tighter you grip the more it bites back. It has a nice rounded Gen4 style mag release that works well. The double undercut is well done and allows a good high grip without Glock knuckle.
I posted pics of it along side the MR920 frame I have. It’s noticeably more rounded than the Shadow Systems frame and slightly thicker front to back.
Just a quick write up. If you have any questions I’ll try to answer them as best as I can.

I met up with @Damn_Yankee today and was able to handle the Grit Grips frame. It feels good, nothing cheap feeling about it, the texture is more aggressive than the Dagger but not too aggressive.

The thing I hate about Glock frames is the bump at the bottom rear of the grip, therefore I really like Shadow Systems with the smallest backstrap. The Grit has a bit of that bump but not terrible.

One of the first things I noticed was that the Grits grip is larger around and has a noticeable palm swell. Considering the size of my hands (mechanix size M), the grip feels larger than I’d prefer.

I had a kydex Glock holster with me and tried that out quickly, it slid right in with very positive engagement. The same can’t be said for a P80, Dagger, and Shadow Systems, so I’d say this frame likely has better holster compatibility.

My beef with Gen3 Glocks and the Dagger is pretty much the same. I’m not a fan of the hump on the back of the grip and it feels just a bit too wide front to back. The Grit Grip is a little better in both respects but I still prefer my MR920. I probably won’t be keeping the Grit Grip. No regrets, I wanted to see what it was like. It won’t replace my MR so I’ll move on.
