Considering the recent, sudden pull-back in manufacturing start date by the Vietnamese, I would be hesitant to bank on anything related to that 'project.'
It seemed very shady to me from the get-go.

If they sell for $50M, they can rebuild somewhere else, transfer those memberships, and still pocket a few million.
I agree it is definitely their property and they should be allowed to do as they please. I would expect an email as a courtesy though, especially those of you that bought lifetime memberships.

Many in that area which may include Woodys (and other properties in Lee Co, Sanford, Pittsboro, etc) face two huge problems … 1st the liberals moving out of Commie Hill (and Carrboro) to the area are screwing up the old guard and second because they are being invaded by the aforementioned species the taxes are going up (land prices are being run up as well as the tax rates be jacked up for the liberal programs). Many of the old guard are facing sell & move or go hungry to pay outrageous taxes.
I can get on board with that perspective.
well all be said I'm just as happy to go to my lower pasture and shoot out to 400 yards and it did not cost me any membership fees and I can do this anytime I choose cept for the few hours of 9am to 12 pm on sunday
