Im pretty excited, went out with my Brother (and my sister in law, as she is getting more into guns and such lately) to check out some local spots for "Stuff", and generally have a good time because today was my birthday....scored the day off.
Well, we happened upon a good deal on some .45 230gr fmj projo's ( 500 for 69$! ), a set of 45/70 dies ( lee set, with a redding crimp die, for 40$), and even managed to grab 200 large rifle magnum match primers for 5$ a tray! ( now to find some projo's and some cases...)
But why is this in the handguns section you may wonder?
Because another treasure was found today, and that is a CZ52 (or VZ52...), in rearsenal condition, in the blued finish.... awesome! Was converted to 9mm, and has no box and only 1 mag though.... boo....
But hey, that just means if I can find a 7.62x25 barrel, I'll be ahead, as the 9mm would be good for plinking!
Then I realized I couldnt grab it right now :/
So what happens.... my Brother and Sister in law see my conflicted looks of longing
( He knows I'd been looking for one of these for a looooonnnng time)....
And they go up front when I turned around and put it on layaway for me to get later on!
So today has been an good day... one of my "White Whales" almost got away, but not quite today, because of my Brother and my Sister in law.
Now to work on tracking down its proper barrel assembly... and mags.... and decent holster. And some 7.62x25 tok ammo. And some reloading dies....
