A friend (from WI) and I usually head to Brownsville, TX and hunt doves opening week but it looks like God decided to change the plans this year and is sending 20 odd inches of rain instead. (hurricane Harvey)
I have been on those fields in years past and after a 15 minute thunderstorm and they get bad, I mean 3-5" of slick mud bad. I can't fathom 20" being dumped. There is little to no drainage and the water just sits there until it evaporates or soaks in. I'm certain that there are people and vehicles buried in those fields that will never be seen again.
So, I'm available if anyone has rabid birds that need to be removed...... (sad sigh)......
