I’ve always liked these, even as a kid. They are more of a “thinking man’s” action/detective/military show set as a Western.
Pluto (free) has the full series in its on demand section.
I like to enjoy my Saturday mornings like I used to; westerns and Tarzan movies, maybe a little rascals or cartoon as well.

Great show. Portrays a man who does the right thing regardless of cost and regardless of the mistakes he made in the past. Loved it as a young man.

THERE WAS ALMOST A REBOOT STARRING EMINEM.
"The Ballad of Paladin" almost went hip hop. In 2006, it was widely reported that the rapper was set to star in a Have Gun - Will Travel remake. The contemporary update would have had Eminem playing a bounty hunter in Detroit. Obviously, that never came to fruition. Likewise, a cinematic reboot starring John Travolta was reported in 1997, but never got off the ground.

I've never seen a remake of a classic western that was anywhere close to being as good as the original. Jeff Bridges in a John Wayne role 👎.No one can touch the original cast of The Magnificent 7. Yul Brimmer , Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter, and Horst Buchholtz. No remake will ever come close to this one

Not as good, for sure, but I didn’t think they ruined it like has happened with so many remakes.

I like John Wayne in True Grit. I also liked the Jeff Bridges version, just like the book. I just can't watch the John Wayne version anymore because I so badly want Maddie Ross to die a sudden death. If they were trying for "so annoying I want to smack her", they succeeded.
