Les Deplorables
Recently had the opportunity to use (for the first time) a cheap Horrible Freight headlamp that has been sitting in a closet for years. Turns out headlamps are quite handy (literally, in that they free up your hands).
Now that I'm convinced of their utility, I'd like to get a decent one. But since this is a very rare use item for me, I'd like to keep the expense fairly low. Would prefer one with an LED bulb and vertical tilt (which I suppose they'll all have since even the freebie HF headlamp has tilt); not sure what other features are must-have, so please clue me in. I regularly use AA, AAA and CR123 batteries, so all those power options work for me; would prefer something that uses one of those and certainly not a proprietary battery.
Suggestions?
