Apologies for the poor focus. Picked up the middle rifle yesterday (I needed something to shoot the ammo I'd collected for a now sold M14 --- right? ;)).

Top: 20-gauge single shot, youth model. Compare with the middle rifle and one can see the 1" reduced length of pull. 26" barrel, 3" chamber.
Middle: single shot rifle, .308 Win. This one has a 22" barrel: compare with the bottom's 20" yet overall shorter length.
Bottom: Long Ranger in .243 Win. 20" barrel and the x4 round flush detachable box magazine.

And a Big Boy lever .357 might have to complete the package eventually.

This makes even more sense when one realizes that the phone I used was a I-phone 5 still on the soon-to-be-lost G3 network.

And this is a hand-me-down from Mrs. Gazoo ... I'd still be using smoke signals if left to my own devices.

I know whom to PM to get the download on scopes!
Feel free to PM anytime. The 45/70 wears a Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 (basically a Leupold VX2). The 44 Mag wears a Leupold 2-8x36 Vari-Xiii. Both rifles have Leupold 56515 bases. Very early Henry's had the holes back slightly farther, The Leupold base still works but you have to grind the back side a little. Later production moved the holes forward. You can use the old H&R bases if you can find them. Also a Weaver 82 fits but I hate those fugly things. The Leupold has Weaver Grand Slam rings (high), the Redfield will be in them soon. I'm on the hunt to add a 30/30 if anyone sees one....

This thread makes me want a 9mm lever action rifle more than ever. I know I'm a godless heathen but I want smg capacity in a levergun.

Edit: or even better a pump action. I had a Rossi copy of an 1890 Winchester pump action and it was such an awesome, handy and above all instinctual rifle to shoot. In 9mm it would be an awesome shooter.

No, added to cart, typed in info, hit send....... out of stock. BASTARDS!! Found another place but it's $519 this one was $465.

Oh. Several years later I still get salty about missing out on the last four hardbound books in a lengthy series for just that sort of thing. "We're sorry, but our system can't show actual current inventory ..."

I mean, really salty.
