Here’s a business idea for you trainers

I’ve done training for one church security team.

GA has a convoluted law on church carry. Churches used to be off limits (criminal violation).

Now the law gives a church’s governing body the authority to allow carry or not. A church has to affirmatively allow carry or it is a violation; however, it’s a civil violation with a $100 fine and nobody know how to initiate the process.

We’re not organized, yet there are several of us on the security team, and I’ve been told @10% of the congregants are armed.

If a church security team isn't armed, what exactly do they plan to accomplish? It's a serious question because if someone or someones wanted to really do something to the people of that church a guy in a button down shirt asking to see the ID sticker on your kid isn't going to do anything.

We do offer this! We have trained MANY churches church security teams in firearms training, medical training, asset protection, deterrence, self-defense, and target indicators.

Heh. I used to go to a GOOD church in Durham, where the pastor had never fired a gun. Never. Didn't want to. I expected this was going to be reflected in the attitudes of the parishoners. Instead, one meeting had me talking with the manager of operations (we call that a "secretary" lol) who was a male (smart strategy, imo) who walked up to me and simply pointed at my right pant leg, where a glock 26 was printing. I said "yeah, I usually wear a iwb concealed holster, but this time I just shoved it in my pants and came. Is this going to be a problem with anyone? Not that I will not carry, but I don't want to freak anyone out." He did not say a word, but simply pulled back his jacket so I could see the IWB holster he had on.

The point here is that among most bible believing churches, I think there are far more people who come armed to church than one would think, and it is mostly for a desire to protect the other congregants. That is the reason I carry. I would happily take a bullet from some guy who hated Jesus, simply because I love Jesus. Best way to die I can think of, in fact (since I will die sometime, anyway). I do want to avoid senseless slaughter by some insanely evil guy. I think there are lots of us out there with that mentality.
