Stock acetone soak complete. Clamped up now to deal with various cracks in the head. After the acetone treatment to get some of the old oil of of the head, I coat the entire inletting with a superglue that has the viscosity of water. This penetrated the tiny cracks, and seals the inletting to prevent oil from soaking into the head.
Once this is done, the action will be bedded to the stock with Acraglass Gel which will address gaps and chips in the wood.
Then final sanding will occur, filling the grain, fitting a new pad and grip cap, finish, and sending it out for checkering.
