Which hiking app is better - Avenza or All Trails?

Garmin fenix series. X versions.
Trail maps and topographical. Rugged.
Ann's they are great for many other uses too.
The 3X was approved by the Navy as a survival watch for pilots.

I used all trails quite a bit with the scouts. Haven't done much the last couple years though after the move, other than to search for some spots nearby to see how they look.

Haven't used avenza, so I'm no help there.

Big fan of Avenza. You can buy the Nat Geo maps to use. Or us USGS quads. Screenshot of my last Smokies trip.

I use avenza because the national parks/national forest/public lands maps work with it.
