We are headed up to Hillsville, VA this weekend. Gonna take a bunch of pre-1899 antiques and loads of crap, er, treasure we want to unload. We'll be set up in the VFW building, should you decide to brave the crowds and see what you can find.

The weather looks mighty fine for this weekend, better than it has in a while. Anyone else coming?

Bunch of stuff I've saved up all year for Hillsville. Gew 88s. Trapdoor Springfields. Belgian copies of Colt and S&W revolvers. Pre-1899 contract Mausers. Few Finnish Mosins on pre-1899 receivers. Black powder replica revolvers. All kinds of stuff like that.
 
Good luck. I havent been in years. My BIL and I went one year and had to park about a mile from the grounds and got caught in a sudden down pour. Soaked to the bone. I had to throw away my wallet (sans contents). It got soaked and started to come apart in my hands. It was an oldie but a goodie. The leather was old and and when it got water logged it just disintegrated. My BIL crawled under a van to get out of the rain. He got wet and muddy. Been several times but not in a long time. Cheers!

Depends on who shows up. You are more likely to find used reloading gear and components than a dealer selling bulk powder and such.

There is one guy who sets up outside the VFW building who always brings a bunch of brass and projectiles and some powder, but it think it is stuff he gets from estates. I’ve bought some hard to find brass from him.

My wife and I will be up on Friday.
 
For those so inclined, the roads in the vicinity of Hillsville offer some of the best motorcycling to be found, particularly the back roads. Looks like a nice weekend to do it too.
 
My next door neighbor will be there. Dan the redneck Jew... if you hear a guy yelling ZAPATAS BARATAS give him a hard time for me :)

@cubrock when you get back give me a call - let's talk about a trapdoor.

More guns at tables than the last couple years. Some really nice guns walking around, too.

But, this has been a very cheap crowd. I have Blazer Brass .45 ACP at $12 a box and have sold only three boxes. Not a whole lot of money coming out of pockets this weekend.
