Looking for a red dot and I have it narrowed down to Holosun SCS and the 507C. This is going on a Glock45.. I like the shape of the SCS but not having the shake function kinda makes me lean towards the 507. Plus this is gonna be an EDC so I don't know how much "sun" time I'll get. I guess I would just need to leave it out in the sun when not using? Let me know what yall think

I've been shooting and carrying the 507C for a few months now. I run it on about 3/4 brightness without the auto-adjust feature. It's still wearing the factory battery. I have zero regrets over this purchase.

I haven't handled a SCS yet, but it looks like they both have the solar charging feature. It's a non-issue I think because as you say, how often does a EDC gun see the sun?

right and I think you actually have to turn the SCS on, but maybe you just leave it on?

I believe that when it is turned off it will still show a reticle from whatever the panel is picking up.

I don't have an scs but I do have a 403c with solar and that's how that one works. I never actually turn it on. I just let it auto adjust running in solar.

If your 45 is an mos I would probably try the scs. It looks like it sits way lower and can co witness regular height sights.

If you have an rmr cut get the 507.

yes sir it is the MOS version G45. I do like how streamline the SCS is though. I guess I could throw the SCS on and see how long it lasts
