Ruger Vaquero 4 5/8”

Looking for two holsters…

Belt holster and a chest holster rig. Nothing against Kydex, but prefer leather for both.

Chiefjason and Gunbelt are great, I have leather from both. I’d add Mike “Doc” Barranti into the mix too but you may have to wait awhile depending on what specific style you may like. He has a backlog....

Here's a chest rig I just finished for my hi point jhp 45. While not a single action that's easy to remedy in a custom build. I tell people this is probably nicest rig ever made for a hi point lol. I fancied this one up with some hair on with a cheetah print to show off a little more of my work and I only use it when hiking around.20230320_115746.jpgleather is all I do everything handmade hand-sewn and hand finished.

I can get the mold.

Pancake for sure. Or a field holster, smaller profile.

Not done a chest rig in a while but I could work one up.
I've seen your beautiful work and obviously know your stuff. If you are ever doing a rig for a new vaquero and have a colt style saa prop the only difference is the new vaquero is little beefer then colt style saa. A couple wraps of cling wrap takes care of the size difference without needing another prop. But the old vaquero is same size as the colt and copies. So there's no fitment issues or extra bulk needed. Just helpful info from leather guy to leather guy.

Are you sure that you do not have the old and New Vaqueros backwards with regard to size. My New Vaqueros are smaller than my old Vaqueros.

Yes sir you are 100% correct. My wires must of got crossed in my posting. It is the new vaquero that's more in line with the colt saa as size goes.

I use several Simply Rugged Pancake holsters for field carry of numerous handguns including several Ruger Vaqueros. They can be worn cross draw or strong side and easily convert to chest carry with a Chesty Puller rig. I am sure several members of this forum can rig you up quite nicely with their own creations.IMG_20231023_194621896_HDR.jpg

Another vote for simply rugged

Ended up going with an El Paso Saddlery and switched out the factory grips for Altamonts….
