Hi guys, have an early 80s Pioneer home stereo system.
I hooked up the AM/FM tuner the other night...but I just cant find the antenna for it.

So I looked on Amazon and see some, but Im just not sure what Im doing on this one
Here is what is on the back of the unit/where the wires go

What do I need to get to bring in FM signals to it?

I've got a Pioneer SX-650 I bought about 1976 or so. Give me a bit and I'll dig out the owners manual.

This is a TX-950
BUT I still need the actual antenna too, not sure what to get

Just use old school twin lead tv antenna wire Split it and run each lead horizontal.

Connect this to 300 Ohm terminals. I own the Pioneer SX-750 circia 1977. Find them at walmart, ebay and amazon. FM Dipole antenna.

The 300 bal input is a “balanced” line, like twin lead aka ladder line with a 300 ohm characteristic impedance. The 75 ohm is an unbalanced input like coax. The antenna tuning is the length of the wire so one for the FM band should be pretty standard. Back in the 90s you could walk into Radio Shack and get this stuff off the shelf.

here are some FM antennas, both 75 and 300 ohm as well as some AM loops: https://www.amazon.com/300-ohm-fm-antenna/s?k=300+ohm+fm+antenna

You can convert between the 75 and 300 ohm antennas with a transformer if necessary.

this good?

On second thought, it looks like it has both an AM loop and an FM Dipole. You can get either the 300 ohm or 75. I would go with the 300 as it avoids the transformer losses.
On your suggestion I'll order it now
