My son has had a swollen lymph node in his neck for a few months. Doc initially said it could resolve itself. Alas, it is did not. Getting a bigger, but still not obvious on the surface.
Doc is ordering an ultrasound to take a look at it.
My concern stems from family history on my side. My father died from colon cancer. It was found first by a lump in a neck lymph node. He was gone <8 months later.
Also, my son has crohns, and one of the early symptoms was lymphocitic anemia. At that time we were glad it was not leukemia. That is what comes up first if you search on lymphocitic anemia.
So, hoping it really is nothing to worry about. Fingers crossed.
My son has been through a lot. Some trials of his own making. But most just from the health cards he was dealt. He has come through very well. Doctor said he can't lift more than 20 pounds when crohns was at its worst. Today he is slamming it at the gym and getting is great shape. He's killing it in sales too.
