A tradition I'll never earn! It's a tradition that your squad perforates your hat when you shoot your first straight 25. Luckily for me, my fellow shooters allowed me to remove it first....

Good job!
Holy crap! Yeah... That's definitely not gonna make my bucket list.It only took me 3,425 shells since April to accomplish it myself.
Lol. Nice. That's a great feeling.

Congrats! I still have the patch my grandfather earned for 50 straight back in Indiana. It seems like he had a relative actually hit 100 straight. I'm lucky to hit 2 straight, so I can understand your excitement and feelings of accomplishment.I shot my first straight 25 in skeet shooting today at the Gastonia Skeet & Trap range @ Rankin Lake!

Congrats! Did your squad have that guy, that changed out to full choke? lol.

From on old skeet shooter to another skeet shooter, good to see that the sport still has some new blood coming into it and well done. I still remember my first one and how it felt. You will never forget it and even more so having shared it with your Father. Congrats.
The only thing that costs more than that first straight is the first 100 straight. Keep at it. Now it gets mental.
I forgot to ask, how many 23's did you shoot before you got it?
What if you don't wear a hat?
Then you'd better run an erratic zigzag at a full sprint until you're out of range.
I just haven't developed that robotic meticulous consistency that you see in competitive shooters.
Oh, @Matt.Cross decided to grace the forum with his presence....it seems like it's only been 1,000 shells or so since I've seen him.
Get a specific routine, a rhythm, and remember it can and will change from time to time. Otherwise, starting position for the gun and learning when to STOP, unload, step off of the station, and start from scratch again are the hardest things. If you think about stopping, do it.
Good luck to you. Is it a registered shoot?
Congrats on the first one. Now all you need to do is shoot the 100, ONE BIRD AT A TIME. DO NOT be thinking about 100, think about the bird that is about to come out of the house. If you'll shoot them ONE AT A TIME they'll add up to what you want.
Your mechanics are obviously in check now get the mental portion under control....
Congrats sir, I've never shot skeet before.
Well, we need to remedy that, don't we?
