Guy supposedly converted a Glock to a machine gun? Is that possible? More relevant, is it practical? I mean, it would be at slide lock in less than a second. And how do you control something like that?

Orange County investigators found an illegal handgun this week after working with Virginia police to arrest a man accused of stealing four-wheel, all-terrain vehicles and dirt bikes.

The arrest also turned up a Glock pistol that had been modified to function as a fully automatic weapon, which is illegal in the United States, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Federal law does make exceptions for weapons registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE).

Avery Clay Parker, 28, was charged with four counts of larceny of a motor vehicle and could face additional charges, the news release said. Parker, who was arrested in Danville, is in jail and awaiting extradition to North Carolina.

Investigators said Parker has ties to Orange County, but they are not sure yet about his permanent address.

Heck you used to be able to buy the full auto drop in part on Wish lol

Really? Look up 'closed bolt' or 'open bolt'. Then it's an issue of control fire or trying to stop the pistol from exploding in your hand.

There is a video of some guys shooting Glocks and one of them tells the others "Watch close, because this is going to be fast."
They didn't know he had an 18.
He steps up and dumps the mag across the targets in just a second or two.
Funny as all get out.
I looked but could not find it.

I think folks were selling switches for the airsoft versions…but they worked on the real deal too. I’m sure that nobody knew.

TX has a huge problem with them from what I've heard. They have been used in a number of recent crimes and many of the ones AFT has taken possession of are 3D printed. They have been all over wish, ebay and armslist. The 3 officers hit in Houston were allegedly from a modified glock.

They're kinda junky guns, swap around parts enough and with enough wear they'll start doubling, tripling, and more. I had to dnf a match on account of my G17 that started acting up.

Brave men, running full tilt into incoming fire. Cop #2 was having issues with his weapon.

Absolutely! They did an amazing job staying in the fight. Still insane there wasn't more "collateral damage" with the number of shots fired.

I came this close to buying one of those off Wish before there was a lot of media fuss, but I chickened out. Glad I did after all the brouhaha.
Oh no they cracked down on the wish market…too bad there isn’t open source files all over the internet and 3d printers…oh wait

Oddly enough, at one time the ATF’s website actually had detailed instructions on how to convert a Glock to full auto.

It was labeled something like “Doing this to your Glock is an illegal conversion of a firearm to full auto”.

You really have to admire the stupidity of that.

I had a couple of guys in a bar I had just met ask me one time if I knew how to do it and would I help them convert a couple.

I busted out laughing and told them it’s on y’all’s website. You guys should be able to follow the directions.
