I am a self admitted S&W junkie and I finally brought home an SW22 Victory. I have been eying them for a while and an enabler let me shoot theirs back in the fall one day at the range. I had too much time to kill today while waiting to pick up my son from school and spent a little too long at the LGS. Really, I did walk away but it kept calling to me.
I had heard that some of the early models had a problem with the take down screw loosening. Apparently S&W fixed this...I couldn't get the thing off to clean it! I put enough force on the included hex wrench that I think I pulled something in my hand. A little Google later and saw mention of some of them being a little tight. A "little"? I put a crescent wrench on the end of the hex wrench to get some leverage and went to town. When that thing finally broke loose, I thought I had snapped the hex wrench. Nope, but bent it pretty well. Everything went back together just fine though and no damage to the screw.
It may be a week or so before I get back to the range before I can shoot it.
