I've got a cheap double barrel I'd like to get a new stock. Old stock is plastic and taped together with black tape.
Don’t be shy, post some pictures. We won’t judge. We will mercilessly ridicule you, but we won’t judge.
I wouldn't trust that door lock too far if I was you...……......and it was cheap. Really cheap ($20). Which is good because I pulled this one right out of the shit pile where it deserved to be.
I guess that’s a good name for it: the shitpile project.

sounds like a keeperI let my wife go unsupervised in a gun store once. I only took my eyes off her for two minutes, I swear.
Damages in four figures.

https://www.shotgunworld.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=186867 some interesting info about that gun.
Not much to report today.
I almost forgot, I pulled another double from the shit pile. This one is a smaller gauge over/under and with slightly shorter barrels.

I have no idea, it was cheap too ($25).
After fixing the barrel selection mechanism I found a use for it.

That should help keep the stray cat that has been pissing in my driveway away.
I used to have a relationship with Lawmen’s like that, until Safariland bought them.
Congrats on the doubleguns.
.002” is not much. Are you planning to TIG the hook and rejoin it?
Restocking a side plate is not fun. Why not soak the thing in acetone for a couple weeks, mill off the pine and replace with walnut, plug the weight saving measures. Can’t hurt.
If the holes goes all the way through, cowboy loads would be fine in my opinion.
