Had the 1301 follower hang up in the tube once on the last stage at the last VOD tactical 3 gun match. When I took the gun apart the follower wouldn't drop out of the tube. I finally was able to get it out after scrubbing on inside of the tube a bit. Figured it might just be crud/plastic/etc. The follower is the original red anodized Beretta branded one. The edges are showing white (red worn off). I'm using a Nordic Components tube, spring and clamp. Should I replace the factory follower with another brand or just order another factory one or two? Which aftermarket one?

Thanks in advance.

You sure the follower isn't hanging up on the seam between the Nordic extension and the factory tube? Seems like that's the trouble spot I read about on the Gen 1 guns running extentions.

Looks like Aridus just introduced a new follower that's green and textured. Not saying you need it, just pointing out the existence.

Found the factory follower out of the Gen 1 21" 1301 Comp I sold recently. It slides in and out like butter. So to answer my own question "Yes" I needed a new follower. LOL. I will look into the Aridus. Need a spare now. Guess the factory was only good for @12 months of regular use. LOL.

Reactions: Me.
A gunsmith tech at Brownells that competes with a Benelli told me to replace my follower and spring with Nordic.
