G21 mag 13rd.
Mag on the left is correct. Mag on the right, the feed lips spread (excessively) and cause the round to nose dive into the top of the chamber.
Never had a Glock mag go bad. This one might have 100 rounds on it and is one of 3 oem's that came with a G41.
I load my range mags to 10, and it would only do this on the 2nd round. Likely because that's the one with the most pressure. Rounds 1, and 3 through 10 did fine.

Just for kicks…swap the springs between the two and see if the problem stays with the body or follows the spring.

Then do the same with the follower. See if you can eliminate a piece that can be replaced.

You mean to set there and tell me that oem glock stuff has issues like every other gun ever made? Thank you for sharing this. All you ever hear from the plastic guys is glock glock glock glock glockity glock glock glock. It's about time they was knocked down a peg or 2 🤣

Metal feed lips?
Yep. Bone stock Glock mag.
Glock has that 'cut' in the metal (visible here above the 5) and they're supposed to do this but obviously not this much.

Glock mags have never been my favorite design but they always worked, so I didn't really care.
I wonder how bad it would be with a full 13. I might have to try that.

All 3 have that dimple. I think it's supposed to be like that.

Anyways, if I gotta buy new mags where is the place to go? CDNN has them for $23 and $10 flat rate shipping. If I bought 3 the shipping wouldn't be too bad then.

that seems to be market price. shipping $2 cheaper here, but that’s it.

This thread interests me bc I had a new factory glock 17rd mag (bought online from a business new in package) start to bulge at the bottom where the base met the body. So much so that I could see the rounds trying to push downward and out of the mag. When i took out 2 rounds, the floor plate would move back into normal position.

It was a brand new mag, freshly loaded. The other 3 i got at the same time were loaded at the same time and did not do this. Maybe I was worrying too much. Maybe I don't understand the science behind the perfection, but I marked it as range only and haven't had any issues yet.

What a POS.

Ya know what they say, where there is a bad mag, no doubt there is a bad gun.

Since I'm such a nice guy, and since you're so good looking, just this once, I'd be willing to take the whole kit n' kaboodle off your hands.

Obviously, everyone else on this thread is wise to what is going on here, so I may be your only good option for unloading that lemon.

Don't bother with Customer Service, they'll act all superior and just call you a liar.

I am your friend.

Let me help you.

Seems like every time I have bought a new gun and a half dozen mags to run it in matches there’s always one mag that doesn’t behave. I lay it aside in the gun closet in eternal repose, never to be used again.

Although they are usually never Glock mags.

Magazines should be considered a disposable commodity, just saying.
They should be, but not after 100 rounds.

I'd reach out to Glock customer service. It might cost a couple of bucks to send it in but they'll replace it with a new one.
