It’s brisket chili season

The liquid in the pyrex, is that saved from the brisket or store bought beef stock?

It was store bought but I added about a cup reserved from the brisket.

Then put most of the rest of the juice in the fridge and used it as stock for some other soups that week.

You guys put beer in the chili. My wife does but I have no idea how much.

I made a 6-qt chili Friday (deer meat) and ended up with about 1-1/2 beers or +/-18 oz.

I got there because my base was thick. I use beer to get to my desired consistency, no water.
