He can probably tell you much more than i can, but i have taken 3 Smiths to him (442, 37, and mod 10) and they all felt significantly improved from the factory settings when i got them back. I believe he replaced hammer and rebound spring and polished all the moving parts. He tests the firing pin to ensure reliable primer strikes and warranties his work for life.
His springs are proprietary And he has them custom made to his specs. He works out of a gunshop in Lexington (his card says western gunsmithing). I can only speak from my personal experience, but i drove 30 minutes each way and am very happy with the results.
