JCB Skidsteer Troubleshooting Help

[Get Off My Lawn]

I’ve got a new to me 2011 skid steer that threw two codes, E405 & C543. I didn’t find much info on line. Everything functions except for the engine will only idle. All fluid levels are full.

Best I can find is a volvo giving the same two codes. The code is pointing towards the float pressure switch. The owner found dirt built up had damaged the sensor/ wiring.

A call to your local JCB dealer they should tell you what the codes are. If they are of no help Company Wrench is another place to call and ask they do alot of work on JCB as well as other brands.

Does it have an electronic throttle dail? If so check the wiring to it. iirc it should be a 3 wire plug with 5vdc control voltage and .98-4.5vdc range .

I wouldn’t be afraid to call JCB tech support line. They might have some good suggestions
