Us late GenX are only a couple years older but also remember the MAD promised by the cold war, the civil defense fallout shelters, the kidnapping epidemics, the murder epidemics, the satanism epidemics, the berlin wall nightly death counts, hypodermics on the shore, china under martial law, the cola wars, etc.

Yep, even more intense. Despite that, that one generation will still come out and claim their generation had it worse and deny any wrong doing on creating the above issues.
