Just funny pictures and comics

Sorry, no funny pic. And this should have been in the political memes thread - both the meme and my reply. But it was so stupid I couldn't let it stand.
And this is why in six years I've only 'ignored' one person at CFF.
The funny pic thread is back.

I don't know about best, but It IS pretty awesome isn't it?
The alternative is what?

Realistically, the alternatives are systems where either 1) _everyone_ is poor, or a 2) system where the gov/elites/bankers skim steal the productive output and you have a different set of billionaires. In the latter case though a) the incentive for productive output goes down and b) the gov has both the political and financial power concentrated together. Therefore, (2) usually leads to (1), although, for example, the CCP is trying its best to thread the needle and stay in power while not completely stifling invention/creativity/productivity incentives. Here on the other hand, it looks like TPTB think the US is such a threat to the NWO/Great Reset/Great Taking (read the book at thegreattaking.com - seriously) primarily because of guns, that they appear to just by trying to crash us hard and completely to get us out of the way.

We are already a lot closer to the endgame of "gov/elites/bankers control everything" than to any sort of free market capitalism. We haven't had anything like that since the 30s. Yes, Musk found a loophole (new opportunity that hadn't been regulated enough to keep out inventive competition) to make a lot of bucks, but what is happening now? He is getting attacked on all fronts by gov because they don't control him.

And realize that bankers would not have allowed PayPal if they had seen it coming, auto makers (and dealers) would not have allowed Tesla, and the military/industrial complex would not have allowed SpaceX - all three were too disruptive and changed the power structure and money flows. All three could have been stopped by regulations, and would have if the existing industries had seen the threats coming. (See "regulatory capture" if you don't know what that means.)

Maybe the meme was posted here specifically because it is funny that someone might be so misguided. That would make it on-topic for the thread, which is unusual for sure.

While serving in the Army in Berlin in the late 70's on a hot August morning our two star General was standing on his review stand chewing us out for some crap.

Out of no where on lone cloud drifed by and stopped over the review stand. Next the cloud made a down pour and flooded the reviewing stand out.

By whole battalion died with laughter.

The General and staff got up and walked away.

It came as a great day.
