Karen vs Blackgun. First to Cry Takes the Loss

Nicely Played Sir !! You were right I don't like dogs anywhere close to where I'm eating, except service dogs.
Heck, I don't even allow my dog near the table while we're eating. He lays in his bed, in the other room. When we're done he gets to clean the dishes. Saves water.

The worst is now "emotional support dogs" on airplanes.

I salute you sir!

Is this the most "likes" a post has every gotten here? Because it should be.
I was on a flight out of Dallas to Charlotte which by the way got delayed due to no pilot. A woman with a yapping Pomeranian in a dog box was directly behind me. That dog barked the whole time we were on the jet. Not sure it took a breath. Two of my daughters were sitting in seats on opposite side further to the back. One sent me a text before takeoff that said- “don’t you dare do it.” I had stood up once and looked over the seat.

My problem would be that I like dogs more than people. So I had rather eat in a restaurant full of bull dogs than a restaurant full of heifers.
This !!! This !!!!
This speaks to my soul !!!!
Thanks, BOOger; you made my day !!!

To the OP, good on you. I have zero problems with dogs in places where they are allowed and the owners control/clean up messes. She failed to control the animal. Kinda like parents who let their kids infringe on other peoples space or property. I love most kids too; just control them in public.

Upon reflection, should the opportunity arise again consider agreeing with Karen and firing the employee on the spot, throw in how his wife passed a couple months ago and with the two small children he just can’t seem to keep it together, and since he’s drinking on the job you really have no choice. Thank her of course.

That’ll give her a new mental health problem to deal with.

Sounds like a Kenny Rogers song. Yeah, I’m that old.

I have a family member who is extremely allergic (she never goes outside without a medihaler). I know she has been hospitalized for severe asthma. Now she gets to sit next to someone playing with FooFoo on their lap for hours because the airline industry caters more to people who have invented a need for "emotional support dogs" more than people who are trying to keep breathing.

I snapped this last fall at a restaurant we go. I wanted to say something as this was not a service dog, but my wife made me stay silent. She held it up on her lap and it was all up on the table.

Yup.
I was in 1B, young lady boarded with a golden retriever and sat in 1A. 3+ hour flight. The lady was in complete control, no issues at all, until landing at which time the 70lb dog decided it needed to sit in the 110lb girl’s lap. It was amusing. In coach it would have been a disaster.
Another flight a guy boarded with a large dog, again in first class but across the aisle. He was in the aisle seat, his window seat was empty and the dog was on the floor by the window, taking up every bit of space. I mentioned that it was fortunate that the seat was empty, he said that he always buys 2 seats.

That would be golden.LMAO.

When I was in high school I would have my friends tell the brothers to ask me if they could take my sister dancing. Then I would scour at them and say "my sister's in a wheel chair , paralyzed from the waste down. You think that s..t is funny."

About two weeks ago I was paying for lunch at a local Mexican eatery. I was waiting in line behind two 50 to 60 year old women who had a 14” tall bulldog who was severely obese wearing a winter coat, scarf, and had a blanket draped over it. The dog came to legs and was snorting liquid from it’s ugly face while bouncing around my feet. It was on a leash as well.

Karen: “He just wants to see if he likes you.”
Blackgun: “ Well tell him I don’t like him snorting on me and being in a restaurant while I dine.”

Nothing. Crickets. She left and the 2 women lifted the fat pig into the car and I left in the work truck.
I get home to pick up some parts for the next hvac customer. I get a call from Karen.

Karen: “ Did you have someone at the taco place about 1 o’clock today.”
Blackgun: “ I think I did.”
Karen: “ Well he was rude. He cussed me and he was really drunk.”
Blackgun: “ No kidding.”
Karen: “ Yeah, he was mean to my dog.”
Blackgun: You’re a liar Karen. That person was me. I did not cuss you nor had I drank anything. Do you think I’m going to fire myself, Karen. Listen, nobody wants your mutt where they eat, and snorting on their legs.
Karen: “ Well that’s my service dog and needs to go everywhere with me.”
Blackgun: “ Bullshit. Service dogs are for service men who put themselves in harms way and it helps them cope with PTSD, or for the blind.” But you women took it from soldiers so you can tote your animals around because you can’t get a man.”
Karen: (full blast sobbing) “My husband died 3 years ago and I need my dog.”
Blackgun: “ No Karen, you need to get mental health counseling.”

Karen hung up on me, I exposed the BS lies to get a boss to fire an employee. Only problem was I was the boss and employee. I’m not going to play soft either. THE END

You should have walked over and told him it was nice that he tool his 2 sisters out for a meal.

I don't care how sweet your dog is. He doesn't belong around my food. He doesn't belong under my feet, and I consider every unknown dog around my kids a threat. "Don't mind him, he just loves people" they say as their animal with a mouth full of teeth is sniffing around me and my kids. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING? THAT THE WHOLE WORLD IS AS INFACTUATED WITH THAT ANIMAL AS YOU ARE?

People are just stupid about their dogs, starting with calling them their "fur baby" or "one of the family". I wonder what your kids think when you equate them with a dog.

Like you think we like stepping in dog **** on the hiking trail? Or worse, little blue bags of dog **** on the hiking trail?

Show some basic f****** manners, people.

No need to confront people in a restaurant; a quick call to the health department would have solved the issue.

I had a high school classmate whose sister, one grade behind, was in a wheelchair. I’m not sure what was wrong with her, but I do remember all of my classmates being very deferential, kind, and helpful to her. Surprising for high school actually. Nobody was insulting or demeaning that I ever encountered. Though, I do remember seeing her grave headstone a couple of plots down from where my MIL was buried. It was a sobering, and sad, experience.
