Keeping Covid-19 in Perspective

My adoptive maternal grandfather was born in 1886. He worked hard to get an education, but never finished college as the university closed due to the "Spanish Flu". Regardless, he became a self-made success, running a home building company, serving in the NC Senate, founding his county's first savings and loan, and raising four daughters. He was one of my greatest role models without ever trying to be.
 
Holy crap I wish I could sit down and talk to my Grandmother now... This guy left out the part about putting your family on a boat and going through Ellis Island but otherwise narrated her life.
