Just got a P17, I know, pics aren't loading. I'll get around to it.
I've never been super interested in fans, but see that this gun just needs one.
Which suppressor do y'all like for .22 cal pistols?

I am surprised no one has offered an opinion. There are many options out there for 22 lr. Read some reviews and see what is available right now, since the supply is limited. Very fast approvals has impacted the market. I am trying out an APR & S (Asteroid Precision Rifle and Silencer LLC) out of Texas. There are dealers/ffl for them noted on their website. This is not one of the big name companies, but it is easy to clean, works well. Lifetime warranty. Budget friendly. Hope you find one that works on your P17.

That RF suppressor does sound good, especially at right at $200. The only thing is the closest store that sells them is in Charlotte (BNA Firearms) and I couldn't find much information about the silencer on their website. They could be listing them for $300 or more for all I know. I'm ignorant of most things suppressed, but I suppose it's like an FFL where I, a SC resident, can't purchase guns and such in another state.
It also looks like all the popular ones I've seen and read reviews on are as rare as hen's teeth. It's not that big of a deal since I'm not really in a position to purchase a can right now anyway. I just have a feeling that having that luxury is going to get harder in the future, not easier.

Probably because it wasn’t posted in the NFA section, where most people would ask silencer questions. 😉

The only things I’d add at this point are (1) don’t buy a Sparrow and (2) pick one of at least a dozen cans that are superior. (This is coming from a Sparrow owner that has 13 rimfire cans)

I'll have to ask your forgiveness, as I did not scroll far enough down the forum page.
But since we're both here, could you share even 3 of the dozen you are thinking about? Preferably not the most expensive three of course.

What's wrong with the Sparrow in your opinion?

It was the king at one point, I won’t deny that.

Compared to other cans on the market:
•It’s heavy
•It has noticeable FRP, especially on pistols
•The clam shell design does keep the inside of the tube clean, but I despise the disassembly and reassembly process
•Not as simple as dropping baffles in a tumbler with your brass, unless you want the finish on the face to be destroyed

I like having no baffles to drive out with a dowel rod after a long day of shooting. The monocore baffle seems easier for me to clean than a stack of baffles. I'm not using a tumbler though so that may change things. The only other rimfire suppressor that I've shot that I like better was the original Surefire Ryder with the red anodized baffles. They were easy to clean.
