Lady Ballers - Comedy of the Year (probably)

Love the idea, making fun of all the nonsense
But, my God, that just looks terrible
 
I watched it Friday night- funny concept, but terrible acting. Not bad, considering they weren't using professional actors (most of the characters were Daily Wire podcasters) and they threw this together in a few months. I expect they'll get better as DW makes more movies, or at least I hope so.

I enjoy a good thought provoking artistic theatric expression.

But sometimes I just want to see a 2 hour poot joke.

I was so wrong.
It was slow to start, but once it got rolling i was in tears laughing.
They even had a magazine cover of joe biden sniffing one of the "girls"

teenage die hard run hide fight was done a lot better than this one, but this is a stupid comedy on par with dodgeball, and i'd say it's ddone better than baseketball from the southpark guys.

I read that DW claims they had trouble getting actors brave enough to be in this, so staff did it themselves. I wonder if it is that, or the budget was too small to do it properly.

Yeah, I listen to the DW podcasts every day and they talked about this a bunch- they went to all the conservative-leaning actors they could and almost nobody would touch this, for fear of being outed or canceled. So most of the parts are done by the sports team at Crain & Co. or other staff members. These guys did a pretty good job, considering they probably didn't take any acting lessons. I'm hoping this will open the door to other movies like this and make it OK to be funny again.

I'd love to watch it...but I've long since reached saturation with respect to streaming services and refuse to pay for any more. Period.

And that includes for shows I'd absolutely love to watch.

I'd get rid of Disney+ if I could, but the rest of the family doesn't want to give it up.

"But it's ONLY $9.96/month!"

Yeah...$9.95 for this one, $9.95 for that one, $9.95 for this other one over here, $9.95 for that one over there, $9.95 for this one that has this one show on it, etc. Screw that.

If the Daily Wire puts this on out on DVD, I'll probably buy it.
