missed my chance....

I'll have to text KC over at Underground Racing and ask if they bought most of the cars, lol.

Porsche is sold out two years according to my MIL. I think she might have ordered a new model last time she got her oil changed.

Article title misleading. They are still selling (combustion) gas cars, they just will all be hybrids. Which, with the instantaneous torque of an electric motor, is better for a supercar anyway.

For most buyers, the electric will be just fine, but for the guys who buy these to race them, it's a no go. I know that's a small portion overall and makes no difference to them, but it sucks for the people that want to buy these and build them to race. I'd take a UGR built twin turbo Lambo over anything electric they can build. Just my thoughts.

I text KC a little while ago and asked him about them. He said they bought quiet a few of them, but not all, haha. They are a Lambo dealer now, so I'm sure he got as many as they could. And I would just like one, lol.

I can’t even afford to pay the taxes on one of those things. 😂

Yeah and the article called it a "pure" hybrid.

Sounds like a "bastard" to me.

On a trip to LV a few years ago I went to a race track where you can rent an exotic car and run laps around a circuit (with a companion driver). I rented a Gallardo and essentially scared the sh** out of myself. Way too powerful and wickedly fast for an old fart like me. At that point I decided not to buy a Lamborghini.😏

Think it depends on what sort of racing you mean
The hybrid thing is where it's heading for many (top tier) road course events - IMSA, WER etc is just hybrid for their top series. I think we'll see GTs going that way too

UGR customers are roll racing some, but the majority are doing standing half/full mile racing, where the turbo motors shine on the big end.
