Hello fellow CCF members and friends. I just wanted to update everyone who was interested in the used LaRue trigger kit that I had posted for sale and the people that were trying to help me with it (thank you all very much for your help and understanding of my position with the trigger).
Here's what the deal is with it and the reason I have withdrawn it for sale or trade. I recently got a big tout full of AR and AK accessories and parts and accessories for other things from a individual (I agreed to them that I will not mention there name or anything else to identify who they are, so I will honor my word) who was in a tight spot and needed some cash and this person was also wanting to trade a gun with me for a gun that I had which was worth a lot more than the one that he had to trade and he was needing money so I knew he didn't have any to put with the gun. I told him that I was always looking for more reloading equipment and materials as I have bought some already from other people on the forum and was very pleased with the transactions.
So I was informed that he had a lot of reloading equipment and materials in storage and other parts and accessories for guns and that he would be interested in selling it all to me for the rest of the money off the trade plus $200 cash for it all which equals around $800 in value. I agreed because I was told that he had trigger kits from LaRue, Franklin, CMC, Anderson, etc, plus a complete lower receiver (Wilson Combat) and about 20 reloading die's and about 30lbs of CFE223 powder and more. So I paid him and loaded everything up because I counted the powder containers and had the receiver in hand and everything else looked good at that moment.
Here's the fun part. I posted the trigger for sale as it was the first thing I grabbed because I wanted to keep the lower receiver and die's but don't want the trigger because I don't use LaRue and I know nothing about them. I looked up the trigger after posting it and immediately noticed something was off. There's no mark on the trigger like online saying LaRue trigger. I edited the post and had some people here on the forum who knows more about LaRue trigger kits then me and found out that it's not a LaRue trigger kit but it does have LaRue trigger springs in the kit. The trigger is a milspec AR-15 trigger that he took the real trigger out of all the trigger kits and put in milspec thinking nobody will know the difference.
So I removed it and I don't want to sale someone something that is not what they pay for. But worse is the powder. He put sand in the 30 1lb containers and sealed them back with super glue and got me there too. So I got screwed bad and only thing that was worth anything after I went through it all with a fine comb is the 5 reloading die's, not 20 because 15 was empty boxes, a Hornady single stage press, 7 milspec AR-15 triggers, and a 30lb bag of sand. They were some AR and AK accessories like grips and little things like that but not $800 worth of anything. Maybe $400 worth that doesn't even cover the rest of the money for the gun he owes me.
So I'm sorry that I posted something for sale on the forum that was not what it was supposed to be and I will take full responsibility for it and except what punishment for it and I will make sure I look at everything closer before posting it on the forum. I'm a man of my word and was always raised to be a man of my word and I don't believe in trickery or scamming people. I want to be as honest as possible and treat people like I would like to be treated and everyone here has been great to talk to and deal with and I don't want anyone to think I'm the kind of person who scams people or anything.
The person and I are supposed to meet up tomorrow after lunchtime for him to give me most of my money back as long as I don't mention there name or anything else so I will see how it goes tomorrow. Again I apologize for the post and I withdrew it as soon as I found out it wasn't real, and thanks again for the help from everyone else too. God bless.
