I’ve had a Lee APP since about when LEE launched it.
I’ve processed a bunch of brass - mostly 9mm. The little red plastic mechanism that slides back and forth horizontally with the jaws is pretty much wore out.
Question - is there a better (upgraded version) option from LEE or aftermarket??
I use the Lee case collator to feed cases and overall I’m happy with the set up

I haven’t looked for upgrades for the app press yet as I have one in the box that I haven’t taken out yet. But there’s always a lot of nice Lee press upgrades on eBay and Etsy

Call Lee Precision directly. They may be able to help you.
This^^^.

I don’t know for sure, but it is quite possible they have made some improvements to that mechanism.

Yes I had planned to call LEE directly, but I also wanted to explore any non factory options.

I have used this thing a bunch. I use range brass and prefer to remove primers prior to dumping cases in the case feeder. This allows me to pre-sort brass and limit the amount of “mistakes”

Yes; if you have access to a 3D printer, there are reproductions and improvements of those components.
